Urban Boricua vocabulary has absorbed English heavily through close cultural ties between the island and the US mainland, producing fully-integrated loanwords like 'el party' (with masculine gender assignment) and verbed anglicisms like 'janguear' (from 'hang out') formed with standard Spanish -ear morphology.
